Dear Parents/Guardians:

There is a program that a number of girls from our school have participated in, in the past, called Girls On The Run.  This is a great program that builds fitness, healthy lifestyles, and positive self-esteem among girls in grade 3-5.  Sign up is due by September 17, 2018.  Please see flyer below for more details

Dear Parents/Guardians:

There is an all call going out tonight, August 28, 2018.  Here is what is contained in the all call:

We opened our Genesis system last week and had you acknowledge the four forms under the documents tab.  The four forms are the acceptable use policy, the WWW consent form and two emergency contact acknowledgement forms.  Please review the contacts and make any necessary changes to the phone numbers and emails. If you have already confirmed these documents you should have been able to see your child’s schedule.  Please re-check Genesis anyway because there was a glitch with some of the homeroom assignments.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.  We will see everyone soon, our first day of school is Thursday, September 6, 2018.  Thank you and have a great evening.

Sincerely, Sean Dunphy Principal ~ SAES

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Each year our students who are entering grades 3, 4, and 5 have summer reading projects that are assigned.  Students should have received the packets in school during the last few days that school was in session.  If they have misplaced those packets, you can find them in the body of this post below.

Please keep in mind that our children should be reading at any grade level for about 20 minutes a day over the summer.  As parents, it is ok to read with them, and ask them questions about what they are reading.  Have your children read about interests they may have, this way they stay more engaged in their reading.  Reading is an essential skill that helps in every other subject that they will encounter throughout their lives.

Parents/Guardians:

The schedule for the fun run is out.  This year it will be indoors, and it will be a "glow run" so it will be dark in our gym but the kids will have glow sticks etc, which should make it a fun event.  You can join us for your child's scheduled run time if you would like.  You would need to enter through the John St entrance.  We will have the bleachers open for the parents to watch the run.  At Approximately 2:15, the top 5 money earners will be able to "Slime The Principal".  This will be for everyone to see.  If it is nice out we will hold this outside, if not we will be in the gym.

See you on Friday!

We are off to a great start in our Boosterthon Glow Run fundraising effort.  We have raised almost $5,000 towards our $25,000 goal for our new playground.  If we can just have each student get a total of $50 worth of pledges we surpass our goal!  Keep up the great work!

For the “Weekend Challenge,” any student who gets pledges for a total of $2 per lap or $60 flat donation in NEW pledges over the weekend will receive a Bonus Prize - the Javelin Challenge Kit - on Monday. Parents and students get super excited to rise to the challenge! This is your chance to earn bonus prize in addition to your normal prizes! Remember to put all those pledges on FunRun.com!
