Dear Parents/Guardians:

There is an all call going out tonight, here is what the message contains:

This afternoon we had a shelter in place drill.  The staff and students are instructed to lock the door, shut the shades and then instruction can continue as normal. This drill went very successfully. Please speak with your children about the activity.

Thank you and have a great evening! Sincerely, Sean Dunphy Principal ~ SAES

Dear Parents/Guardians:

We are having a "Healthy Snack Recipe" contest run by our Cafeteria.  It is open to all students in grades 4 and 5.  All students received information last week regarding the contest.  Recipes are due in by this Friday 4/27/18 (the sheet says Thursday 4/26, but we are extending it a day).  Please see the file below for more details:

Dear Parents/Guardians:

On Friday we had a vocabulary parade that went through the school.  Our third-grade students dressed up as some of their robust words.  This was a great success, we are very proud of all the students who participated and their teachers for taking the time to put this together.  You can see a snippet of the parade below:

Today Friday, April 13th, your children in grades k-5 were given their report cards for marking period 3.  Please check your child’s backpacks and folders to make sure that they have brought them home to you. If you have parent access to grade book you should be able to see the progress reports and report cards online as well.  If you did not receive a copy of the progress report and cannot view it online, please get in touch with the main office.

Thank you and have a great evening. Sincerely, Sean Dunphy Principal ~ SAES

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Our PARCC testing is upon us.  Over the next few weeks, we will be having our students take the PARCC test in both English Language Arts and Math.  This testing is for grades 3-5. All testing will begin around 8:50 and will run until approximately 11:00.  Please have your children get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast so that they can perform to the best of their ability on the test.  Please have your children bring headsets to school for the test.  They are also allowed to bring a hard-wired mouse for testing on the chrome books, no wireless mice will be accepted.

PARCC Testing Dates:

Grade 3 -  4/17-4/20 (ELA),  5/7-5/8 (MATH)

Grade 4 - 4/23-4/26 (ELA), 5/9-5/10 (MATH)

Grade 5 - 4/30-5/3 (ELA), 5/14-5/15 (MATH) Sincerely,

Sean Dunphy
