Reading Diagnostic Testing Next Monday And Tuesday

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope that you are all safe and getting back into the swing of balancing distance learning with your other responsibilities. As we transition to providing instruction through distance learning, we have decided to have our students take the Reading Diagnostic through iReady. The results through the i-Ready Reading Diagnostic will help teachers assess the needs of each and every student in their class while monitoring progress throughout the remainder of the school year. We cannot stress how important it is for your children to take the assessment by themselves as any assistance will have an effect on the overall results and placement.

Please review with your children the presentation below which matches their grade level before starting the reading diagnostic:

The students will be taking the diagnostic assessment on Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28. On these days there will be no additional assignments for Reading or Writing given by the teachers. When students complete the diagnostic we will review their placement and begin assigning lessons to help support students and provide enrichment. Students who rush or have results that do not align with their current academic performance may have to retake the diagnostic just as they would if we were still in regular school sessions.

For more information on how you can support your children during this next phase of instruction please feel free to visit i-Ready Central to learn more.

Sincerely,

Sean Dunphy
