Parents/Guardians:

We have received a few phone calls over the past two days regarding logging into our I-Ready program.  Please see the information below on how to have your children log on.

Please log into I-Ready, to take the math or reading diagnostic test.  You can log in through Clever.  Go to:

Click on:

Login with Google:   


Go to Iready:


Then Choose Math or Reading:


This should bring you to the Math or Reading Diagnostic test.

January Parent Letter - Spanish Version 

1/1/22

Estimados padres / guardián:

Primero que todo ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Espero que todos hayan tenido unas vacaciones de invierno seguras y saludables. Como hemos visto en las últimas dos semanas, ha habido un aumento en los casos de Covid. Debido a estos sucesos, estamos instituyendo algunos cambios en la escuela primaria. Por favor lea abajo:


  • Aumentaremos el espacio entre los estudiantes durante nuestras sesiones de almuerzo.

  • Requerimos que nuestros estudiantes usen sus máscaras durante el recreo, tanto adentro como afuera.

  • There may be a slight change in lunch times due to spacing.

Por favor asegúrese de que sus estudiantes estén usando mascarillas adecuadas. Esto es imperativo para que nuestros estudiantes y el personal permanezcan seguros y continúen la instrucción en persona. Gracias por leer esta carta y hacer que sus hijos se adhieran a los cambios anteriores.

January 1 Parent Letter 

1/1/22

Dear Parents/Guardians:

First of all, Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe and healthy winter break.  As we have seen in the past two weeks there has been a rise in Covid cases.  Due to these occurrences we are instituting a few changes at the elementary school.  Please read below:


  • We will increase spacing between students during our lunch sessions.

  • We will be requiring our students to wear their masks at recess, both indoor and outdoor.

  • There may be a slight change in lunch times due to spacing.

Please make sure your students are wearing appropriate fitting facemasks.  This is imperative in order for our students and staff to remain safe and continue in person instruction.  Thank you in advance for reading this letter and having your children adhere to the changes above.

See you on Monday, January 3!

Coloring Contest Ages 5-6 and 7-9 
Dear Parents/Guardians:

Christ Church in South Amboy is sponsoring a coloring contest.  There are two different age groups, 5-6 and 7-9.  One winner will be selected from each age group.  Please see the information below, as well as the coloring sheets.  The Nativity Scene sheet is for the younger ages, 5-6.  The Star of Bethlehem is for the older ages 7-9.  You can find more information on the flyer.

More details:
  • Doors open at 5:45pm to set up your spot on the gym floor.
  • Movie begins at 6:30pm
  • Bring your blankets and sleeping bags! PJs optional.
  • Concessions will be sold by the 5th grade, and the 8th grade will be selling discount cards.
  • There will also be a special guest appearance!

Important Reminders (1) 
Dear Parents/Guardians:

Just a couple important reminders:

1.) We have short session days this week Monday through Wednesday.  PK dismissal is at 12:30 and K-5 dismissal is at 12:40.

2.) Parent Teacher conferences are virtual 1:30-3 on Monday, and 6 pm - 8 pm on Tuesday.  You must sign up via the parent portal in genesis.

3.) The district is closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving break.  I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

4.) Finally as the holiday shopping time is beginning, Mr. Elson our tech coordinator found a few helpful tips for everyone as they navigate the online shopping universe.  Please read the flyer below for these helpful hints as you shop online.

Educator and Education Specialist Of The Year Nominations 
Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is the time of year where the state of NJ likes to honor an educator and education specialist in each school.  You can nominate a current of former teacher or an education specialist (librarian, paraprofessional, nurse, child study team member, etc.).  You can do this by filling out the form below.  If you are planning on filling out the form please pay close attetion to the scoring criteria.  You can fill out a nomination form below.  All forms must be submitted by 10 am on November 15.
